Erin Baucom

Abstract

Chapter 5 of Library Technology Reports (vol. 55, no. 6), “Planning and Implementing a Sustainable Digital Preservation Program,” discusses how to think about planning for and implementing a digital preservation program using a life cycle model. It includes a series of sample workflows for the different stages of the digital curation life cycle, such as stabilization, accessioning, arrangement, and access. Suggested tools such as BitCurator, Archivematica, Mukurtu, and others are discussed, with recommendations on resources available to identify tools and processes that may help increase the capacity and efficiency of your digital preservation program.
