Chapter 5: Ethical and Other Considerations

Abstract

As libraries explore the feasibility of implementing blockchain-based applications, a number of issues and questions arise that are beyond the scope of the technological implementation. In chapter 5 of Library Technology Reports (vol. 55, no. 8), “Blockchain in Libraries,” we explore some of these questions in the hopes of raising awareness, creating a dialogue, and motivating an investigation into some of them.
