Abstract


Chapter 2 of Library Technology Reports (vol. 58, no. 5), “A Case for Microlearning,” takes a deep dive into one emerging e-learning design trend, microlearning. This chapter explains what microlearning is and why it has been shown to be an effective and engaging way of teaching information literacy. Tips on writing learning outcomes, writing comprehension checks, and creating microlearning tutorials are also presented.
